PANDAS April 2026 Events & Updates
Dear PANDAS Members,
A few updates and events we have planned for the start of April 2026.
Easter Monday Fun Fly Events – 6th April 2026
If the weather is fine we are going to organise a few ‘Fun Fly Events’ during the afternoon on Easter Monday (6th April). These will be open to all members to take part in.
It would just be for an hour or so during the afternoon (1330 to 1430) and would not have much impact on normal club flying. There will be a few small prizes for the winners. Check the club website for details and any updates.
April Club Meeting – Tuesday 7th April
At this club meeting we will be giving a talk / presentation on basic radio set up. If you want to know how to set rates, expo, basic mixes & throttle cuts etc. please come along and hopefully we can help.

Saturday 25th April – BMFA Northern Area Achievement Scheme Training & Testing Day
We are holding a BMFA Northern Area Achievement Scheme Training & Testing Day at the field on this day. If you are interested in taking a test or just want to see how the scheme works please come along. To assist with the planning for the day it is asked that you register if you want to take part. Full details are on the BMFA Northern Area website including the attendance registration form.
Normal club flying will be allowed but it is asked that respect is given to anyone practising or taking part in the training / tests.
Membership
We have 176 members so far for 2026 with a few more renewals / new members who have indicated they will be joining us shortly.
Grass Cutting & Field Maintenance
The main strip has had its first cuts of the year and the council have cut the pits area.
We are looking to roll the field shortly subject to the weather and availability of a roller.
Club Calendar and Horse Racing Days
All the club events and No Fly Days (including horse racing days) are on the club website events page. The first Horse racing event ‘No Fly Day’ is on Tuesday 7th April.
